I agree that Sgt. Pepper's remains the most overrated out of the Beatles' most major album (Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's, White Album, Abbey Road).

Sgt. Pepper's was technically elaborate and fit into its time in 1967 but I consider Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland to be far superior (yet it is criminally underrated).

Revolver contained many of the Beatles' most innovative material (before Pepper), the best example being Tomorrow Never Knows which was unlike anything else they ever recorded. Plus, although the White Album was less unified than Pepper, it too had more diversity and a better range of songs and experimentation.

My choice is Revolver. Tomorrow Never Knows invents rhythmic musique concrete or very much like modern dance music. Eleanor Rigby rock vocals with just strings. Love You Too classical Indian Rock. Sgt Pepper is proto-prog in songs like A Day In the Life and A Benifit or Mr Kite. Revolver in IMO is more important to Modern Music.

how can the greatest album of all time be overrated, i ask you?

Sgt Peppers is the most overrated Beatles album out of all of them, but its still a good album...
