Notes about Notifications
Since launch there have been some problems with comment notifications and after Feif's poll this weekend I thought I would bring people up to date about what has been happening to alleviate them.
The biggest problem is that since launch, both Yahoo and Hotmail have sporadically blocked mail coming from Listology. 95% of the mails I get from people missing notifications (password requests, new account signups, etc) are from users of these providers. Things will be OK for a few weeks, and then I'll get a burst of missing email. I don't know why this is and attempts to contact someone at the companies have been fruitless. My best clue so far has been a mail server configuration problem, but no luck on that front either.
The other problem is that the module I've been using for comment notifications seems to have some issues. About a week ago I upgraded to a newer version in the hope that this will make it more consistent. Please let me know if you are getting new comment notifications consistently or not going forwar.
Finally, as an alternative, I have enabled RSS feeds for comments on every posting. It is the main RSS feed for any list or article or poll, so you can just subscribe to that URL and get the comments feed in your RSS reader. While this may not be as ideal as email, it is an alternative that will be more consistent for now.
Thanks for sticking through everyone!

This is random, but is there any way you can bring back the "Don't put list on most recent after updating it" button? I notice spelling errors on my lists often, but I don't want it to go to the most recent. If it's not too much to ask for? Other than that, the site is near perfect in my eyes :).

Yes, it was a good option on the old server.
Plus, to not put when you archive a list in the recent updates.
I have implemented a new mail server system this week. Let me know if it helps, hurts, or makes no change.
Wow, I got an email from this page... it's like... magic! ^_~
I hope it will works for the rest (like my list and on my post on others lists).
Yay! Glad to hear it.
I too have a gmail account, and have not been recieving emails from this site. I do browse listology often though, so it isn't the biggest deal in the world.
I have a potential solution I'm looking into now. Will ping you guys for testing when the time comes.
heyrocker,
i have a gmail account set-up and i am getting nothing. should i go back to yahoo, or do you recommend another email service i should use?
thanks for keeping this all going,
feif
Since the version of the site, I always have problem receive email, I use Gmail. I always choose "All comments" in everything.
Other thing, I think the "Related Posts" was better on the left, to give more place to the list. I don't mind if the publicity is on the top left, above that.
