Author Comments:
I am new to the list but have already been inspired by the many lyrics quizes already here...so here's my first try.
I have adhered to the following rules in compiling these:
1. I own it....somewhere.
2. It's not some obscure B-side'er. They all got airplay, though some may not have got much past college radio.
3. There is one artist for each letter of the alphabet (not listed in order).
4. I tried to go with snippets of lyiric that, at least for me, stuck in my mind.
A hint: My musical taste has always tended towards what is now called Alternative Rock, mostly from the early 70's through the early 90's (though list list has some outside that range and genre :-) )
Good Luck

How sad that the only one I know for sure is number 9 - Kid Rock's Wasting Time.
Not really. I hoped I didn't make it too easy.
It does imply you're a bit younger than me (but yes, I DO own Devil Without A Cause).
try this (more recent) one, which probably locates me geographically too:
"Shoe glue. What can I do. A man's not dressed if his shoes are a mess. Rock n' Roll, I got a hole down in my sole."

The first one to jump out at me was:
26. And So It Goes - Nick Lowe
Guess I put in too many words ;-)
Correct. One of the underrated (along with Dave Edmunds) artists of the early New Wave scene.
