Author Comments:

674 to go.

I've already read 68 books. I started reading last year.
I only have 389 books out of the 1001. I only buy in second hand bookstores.
Goodluck to us!

Interesting list, helped me to remember a couple of books i wanted to read.
One thing i really don't like - only one book by Enrich Maria Remarque. For me, "The Black obelisque" is by miles his best book, better than his most famous one, which is included and one of the top books overall in writting. For shore all the included, let's say, Murakami one's are not better (i'm not knocking Murakami, i love him, but books like "The Black Obelisque" are on another level).
Also, i understand, there are no pure-philosophy examples here, but "The book about Dao and De, written by Leo Dze" could have been included purely for the influence on all of the eastern culture. Also, i think The Bible should be read at least once in a lifetime, if nothing more, than purely for self-sophistication.
