Ant-Bee's Radio Show - 1st Sunday of every month

Tags:

Billy James (Ant-Bee) hosts an online radio show the first Sunday of every month called "Listening Through A Glass Onyon" at 12pm noon EST on www.getreadytorock.com. i missed the last one, because i did not know about it, but will try VERY hard not to miss the next one. he played tracks from his up coming album Electronic Church Muzik last time; he sent me the finished copy and it may be the best of the year.

unfortunately i have been missing this show as well for the past months, and last month James put together a well earned tribute to Bruce Cameron, a lost but not forgotten friend, with tracks from his only album Midnight Daydream. i will do what i can to remember to listen tomorrow, and possibly record it for anyone that may want to stream it later on.

i encourage all Listologists to listen, or at least those who take part in the Music portion here. he is a HUGE fan of The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Faust, Amon Duul II (who he represents for PR), has worked with Daevid Allen from Gong (among others from The Magic Band and The Mothers), and has written books on Todd Rundgren and Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention, and other popsters and freaks - something for ALL Listologists to like. and he will probably play cool stuff every week like he has in his first two shows.

i will update this page a day or so before, and then 30 minutes before the show airs to remind those who would be interested.

the first two shows are below - they have been removed from sendspace.com because of a time limit that has since lapsed. if anyone would like me to repost those shows i will at request.

the playlists for the shows can be found HERE.

SHOWS

Show #1 - April 5, 2009 - i omitted the song "I Lost My Heart At The Drive-In Movie" by Flo & Eddie at Ant-Bee's request because of release conflicts...so when you hear Beefheart's rant, "A squid eating dough in a polyethylene bag, is fast'n'bulbous, got me?" it will go directly into Wild Man Fischer's "The Taster" instead of Flo & Eddie's song. it is seemless, but no, that song is nowhere for you to find. :-)

Show #2 - May 3, 2009 - the download took about 12 minutes for me to complete.

you will have to click through, and depending on your internet speed, wait for the link to show up at the bottom of the page. the files are very large - just under 1 hour in time at 128 kbps mp3 - 52mb+ per show. i could make them smaller if someone has a VERY slow connection. if so, let me know so i do not keep on making the files 128mp3, i could make them 32wma.

Somebody needs to record these shows.

wow, i did not think about doing that - i am intelligent!

done (if i do not forget to tune in...)!

I shall miss it. Please post the mp3!

i will. Billy is sending me a recording of the last show, and i will record this one myself. but...how do i post them?

cool, thanks.

they're up!
