- -----i don't care about this list at all anymore, but i shouldn't keep deleting every list
- mostly rock musicians because that is what I listen to most of the time, especially now - there are SO MANY great musicians missing.
- Favorites:
- John Coltrane - everything that sound has to offer this man could do and did to the best of his ability before he died. i don't know how much further he could have taken the idea of sound.
- Albert Ayler - only behind the the Trane: PURE PASSION, PAIN, GLORY
- Howlin' Wolf and the other screamers from the 50's - and not just the growl or howl, but the pain, the love, the joy, the sorrow, the hole in their souls that echoes through their bodies and through the conscious of all those who can connect to it. people like Beefheart may have improved the physical structure, but it was only different, and maybe better. i still find myself drawn to these guys if the only thing considered is the vocals.
- Joanna Newsom - too much/too talented for her own good :-) i should have talked with her when i had the chance
- Mark Sandman - smooth
- Cecil Taylor
