No Duckman?
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll certainly add it.
Impressive list!
Thanks! It's still a work in progress. I'm attempting to make the order more accurate.
Now when you mention Ghostbusters on your list which Ghostbusters are you talking about? Cause there actually were two different ones. The frist cartoon simply titled Ghostbusters was a lesser known cartoon that featured a big gorillia. The second one which was based on the movie and featured the very popular Slimer, was titled "The Real Ghostbusters." It was called "The Real Ghostbusters" so people knew that it had nothing to do with the show with the big ape. I'm guessing you mean the Real Ghostbusters which again featured the very famous Slimer, if so I think you should change it to Real Ghostbusters instead of simply "Ghostbusters." That's why I call myself a "Cartoon Geek" lol. Other than that though, very impressive list.
Yup, I meant 'The Real Ghostbusters'. That's now fixed.
Why isn't "Spartikus and the Land Beneath the Sea" on this list? Granted it only aired in the US for 2 seasons (1985-87 Nickelodeon, but this was mainly attributed to it being a foreign cartoon. With its surreal landscapes and deep characters trying to save an artificial sun inside a Alderson Disk, garnered world wide acclaim (Each countries version had a singer of note from that country sing its opening song, Menuto performing the US version lol.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48NaLR8V9fE
Nice suggestion, Roaddog7701. It will probably be added when I revise the list. No telling when that's going to be, though.
u forgot the best of all: Saint Seiya and, above all, Ken Shiro.
hey there. I am searching for a cartoon where frogs dance and sing while a little fox watches them. In the end his mother calls him and he runs to her and tell her what he saw. Can you tell me the name of this one episode musical cartoon.
Thank you.
1. simpsons
2. x-men
3. transformers: beast wars
4. tmnt
pokemon wouldn't be in my top, but it should be a top 5 for a non personal list.
How could it possibly be in the Top 5? Or even Top 20 for that matter?
Those in the Top 20 are pretty much unassailable.
well every kid has watched pokemon, it took over the bloody world, it also appeals to both sexes.
I'll give you popularity, yes, it excels in that criterion -- it was a worldwide phenomenon. And it does fairly well in the other criteria, too, but when you add it all up, it still doesn't quite compare to the importance of cartoons like SpongeBob or Scooby-Doo. Pokemon is certainly significant; it's just isn't in that league with the big dogs.
we can disagree :D there is no right or wrong.
