- Leaving sinks full of dishes for several days in a row
- Using the bathroom sink and leaving it a mess of shaved hair stubble and toothpaste
- Assuming things you buy are communal (toiletries, condiments, entire loaves of bread, laundry soap etc.)
- Watching you play video games that they have also played/ are playing and telling you what to do the whole way through
- Making you listen to all the stupid details of their "horrible" day that they have at least 3 times a week
- Completely losing it over something small someone did and blowing up at everyone in the house rather than asking who did it and resolving it reasonably
- Having a really annoying significant other who never seems to leave
- Not addressing things they would like you to start/ stop doing and waiting to bring them up as a reason not to comply with a request you might have
- Making any company you might have uncomfortable
- Leaving nasty notes, and then acting really nice next time they see you
- Bringing their loud, obnoxious friends home from the bar at insanely late hours and acting like they're still at the bar
- Leaving DVDs running after watching the movie so the title menu loops over and over again
- Being passive- aggressive when they can't bring themselves to even write a nasty note
- Shutting themselves in their room 90% of the time only to make an occasional awkward appearance in the common area
- Throwing trash on top of an already overflowing garbage can as if it were completely fine
- Assuming that someone else will always do things like fill ice cube trays, fill the brita pitcher after using it, empty the lint trap on the drier, etc.
- Being rude to you so just they can apologize and segue into something that's really bothering them- and then talk endlessly about it
- Telling the same stories over and over again because they forget they told you

This is my first list, many will follow. As soon as I saw that this site existed, I signed up immediately. Anyways, living with room mates is a long- term lifestyle for a lot of people, and it basically has huge pros and huge cons. I won't be doing a list of pros because complaining is more fun.
