...and the roles in which they shine.
My choices in movie watching usually revolve around The Director, The Screenwriter and The Cinematographer but for these actors I'll make an exception.

How embarrassing (for me) . . . I didn't recognize your first entry. Having looked up Cliff Curtis, I've seen quite a few of his movies (although I missed Hercules in the Underworld :-).
Cliff Curtis is a chameleon. He's from New Zealand and I'm guessing has a standard Kiwi accent. So far I think I've seen him in 8 diferent films.
In The Piano he plays one of the Maori. In Desparate Remedies he plays a regular Kiwi rogue. In Deep Rising he plays a standard Middle Eastern lacky. In Three Kings he plays the head of the Iraqi group which is trying to make their way to the border. In The Insider he plays a Saudi Sheik. In Blow he plays Pablo Escobar and in Training Day he plays a menacing East L.A. tough. I've never seen him in a role where I wasn't completely convinced that he was that guy! He's amazing.
One thing I really like about this list here dan, is the star power of these people. Aside from Depp and a couple of others, these are really just role playing actors. All of which I might add are wonderful. It's good to see more lists like this that gives recognition to the lesser known actors.
Sam Rockwell also shone in Galaxy Quest. A scene-stealer in a cast of scene-stealers.
i think Gary oldman is one of the best there is. have you seen his performance in True Romance?
:-) i'll take that edit as a yes
Yes. I had my favorite roles up there before but I was re-working the list. :-)
