2004 Shortlist Prize Final Nominees

Dizzee Rascal/ Boy In Da Corner

The Streets/ A Grand Don't Come For Free

Loretta Lynn/ Van Lear Rose

Franz Ferdinand/ Franz Ferdinand

Wilco/ A Ghost Is Born

The Killers/ Hot Fuss

Nellie McKay/ Get Away From Me

Air/ Talkie Walkie

TV On The Radio/ Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes

What Will Win: Franz Ferdinand/ Franz Ferdinand

This seems like the most popular nominee and it dosen't hurt that it's a stellar album.

What Will Win if That Dosen't: Loretta Lynn/ Van Lear Rose

Clear favorite for the grammy this year and with Jack White producing, the critics really responded well.

Dark Horse: Wilco/ A Ghost Is Born

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot didn't receive a nomination in 2002. This would be a great honor for Wilco, sice they should have won in 2002.

What Should Have Been Nominated:

The Walkmen/ Bows and Arrows

Too late:
The Arcade Fire/ Funeral
Smile/ Brian Wilson
Interpol/ Antics

Looking at their past winners, I'm tempted to say Loretta.

I think Wilco's nom was the honor, they are my #10 prediction. I don't see them getting it.

My list in order of liklihood:
1. Loretta
2. Franz
3. Nellie
4. Dizzee
5. The Streets
6. Air
7. TV on the Radio
8. Ghostface
9. The Killers
10. Wilco

Wow, TV took it. What'd ya think?
