The complete total of books I read in 2007 is 70 books.
How did you like Pullman's Sally Lockheart stuff? I've been hesitant (though for no particular reason). I enjoyed the Dark Materials series well enough.
I enjoyed them. I listened to the audio books first then liked them so much that I read them in book form and added them to my library. Just don't go into reading them expecting something similar to His Dark Materials because I found people who did so were disappointed. This series is YA historical mystery and doesn't have the depth nor fantasy that HDM has, but it was good entertainment with some great characters.
