Not necessarily the best rock albums ever. Just the ones I can throw on at any time and enjoy pretty easily. Listed in alphabetical order.

When Trout Mask Replica becomes an "easy, enjoyable listen" you know that Scaruffi has now devoured your soul. =P
aka: welcome to the dark side ; )
Am I finally a music jedi?
I actually find Trout Mask much more listenable on a daily basis than Nico or Foetus or Pop Group quite frankly.
I agree! The music is more gay.
Haha! By which you mean a merry, lighthearted mood I presume.
It's pretty MANLY music too. Heheh.
Do you know of any poppy Krautrock albums/songs out there? This guy on another website wants some recommendations and all I can think of is Faust IV.
Some of the songs on Can's Ege Bamyasi. Most of Kraftwerk's stuff, especially their well known albums & songs. La Düsseldorf is a good band for more poppy stuff, formed from Neu!'s ashes. David Bowie's Heroes & Low is quite krautrock.
The end of Miss Fortune, it has an acoustic guitar. The hippies will like that.
lol. I doubt this guy will like Faust. He doesn't really like experimentation. I will pass on some of those recs though, thx buddah.
I second the Can recs especially Spoon and I'm So Green and Moonshake. (If you ask me, Mushroom is a perfectly perverted pop song.) Neu! 75 is pretty poppy. Then there is Harmonia Deluxe which I hate but it's melodic I suppose. Faust So Far might be their most accessible. Oh yeah and Cluster's Zuckerzeit.
Thank you sire. I's been choking on the stickyness in dreams.
Jimmy Bell is getting out of control for me. The album to too fucking fun to listen to. The singer is not as wild as most of the ones that are on this list, but the album as a whole is too fun and each song can do it on its own.
