Bands that Candle's Flame promoted

- Reign
- The one that pushed us to make a better zine, Reign was that energetic pop/rock group that focused on ministry and youth. Great fun and still partially together as 22Five! Of course I am biased, since one of my best friends is in this band and I went to so many of the shows back in the late 80's early 90's that I knew their sets almost as well as their families did (plus I got to witness their studio time recording stuff for the second album)! http://fburls.com/41-65Ev1Z9k/t/cid/605706/sid/108173025
- Uniform of Youth
- What can be said for this group except this: Mike Thompson and Joel Pilger's talen propelled this group into breaking barriers and establishing itself as one of the most creative experiments at the time. Another band I am biased about, due to Mike being my roommate for a couple of years and recording their epic "End of the Age" album in our apartment.
- Man Overboard
- begin again
- The Waiting
- All three of these names belong to the band lead by the Olsen brothers that put on a great show and eventually went mainstream with numerous albums produced for mass consumption. Brad hyper-active stage presence belied his serious beliefs and Todd's calmness onstage hid an in-your-face ministry. Great fun and sorry that they had to go their seperate ways.
- American Zion
- This group was not local to Atlanta but Candle's Flame promoted them none the less. Great music and they went on to become a big name in Christian rock (under another name)!
- Jacob's Trouble
- The first real interview Candle's Flame did was with Mark, Steve and Jerry just prior to their first big release "Door Into Summer". Great guys, fantastic show, and awesome ministry - what more could you want in a band.
- Kevin Jackson
- Country School
- These projects by Kevin Jackson, formerly of Uniform of Youth, and with Kathy McNeill's assistance on Country School, were more folk/pop than rock but fun none the same. In fact, Kevin and Uniform of Youth were the the first concert that Light Of Truth Productions and Candle's Flame produced back in 1989!
Author Comments:
Candle's Flame was a zine put out from 1989 to 1991 that covered the Christian music field in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hey, I've seen Jacob's Trouble live! Twice, in fact!
