Audio books listened to in 2010

  1. DC 52 - Greg Cox GraphicAudio
  2. Great story from DC that explores a mystery of groundbreaking proportions and a missing 52 seconds!
  3. Doctor Who: Ghosts of India - Mark Morris BBC
  4. Doctor Who and Donna stumble upon India at a dangerous time and have to solve a mystery with the physical incarnation of Hindu Gods.
  5. Doomsday Warrior #16: American Overthrow - Ryder Stacy GraphicAudio
  6. Another great Doomsday Warrior story with Ted Rockson! As always, GraphicAudio produces the best audio EVER!
  7. DCU Countdown - Greg Cox GraphicAudio
  8. Another great DC story that was the beginning of the ultimate DC crisis (Final Crisis). Anothe GraphicAudio masterpiece!
  9. Doomsday Warrior #17: America's Sword - Ryder Stacy GraphicAudio
  10. A good Doomsday Warrior tale of a lost stadium of Repubums as they seek to elect the Great Nominee - a century after the nuclear war isolated them during a Republican Convention!
  11. Doctor Who: Story of Martha - Dan Abnett BBC
  12. A story with Marth Jones, my least favorite Doctor Who companion of the modern era!
  13. Earth Abides - George R. Stewart
  14. A brilliant story of a plague causing an apoclypse, written in the late 1940's! Awesome stuff
  15. Survivors - John Wyndham
  16. Great story but extremely disturbing!
  17. Day of the Triffids - John Wyndham
  18. This BBC adaptation is different than the mini-series the BBC did and also different from the book - it is more like a series of flashbacks and serves to help you understand the panic that the Triffids caused!
  19. Day by Day Armageddon - J L Bourne
  20. Great story but bad reader - he couldn't pronounce "admin" right - sounded like "edmen". Also, Bourne is too savy with his military acronyms for most everyday readers. Otherwise, I am chomping at the bit for the second book to continue the adventure!
  21. Ur by Stephen King
  22. Good story but this is really just a marketing tool for Amazon and their Kindle (which I hate due to its DRM!).
  23. One Second After - William Forstchen
  24. Excellent EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!!! Best post-apocalypse book I have heard/read! This story of the days after an EMP destroys all electronics is scary and yet plausible. Read it or listen to it - it will make you change your priorities!
  25. Doctor Who and the Plague of the Daleks
  26. So-so story involving everyone's favorite villain.
  27. Night Of The Triffids - Simon Clark
  28. Good sequel to the masterpiece Day of the Triffids. This one was suspenseful and kept me hanging on till the end. Only drawback - another liberal whiney Englishman as the lead who won't follow orders or do what is necessary to survive, thus proving once again that really the Americans are better prepared to survive an apocalypse than most Europeans.
  29. Doomsday Warrior #18
  30. I love the Doomsday Warrior series....or I did until this one. This is the stupidest waste of money ever - the story is not even worth talking about, that is how bad it is! Just skip it and go to #19 to finish the series and you will be happier!
  31. Doomsday Warrior #19
  32. This is the end of the Doomsday Warrior books/audios and surprisingly, I am GLAD! The last 2 books/audios were more crap than good. The character's traits were forgotten and stories fell like an asteroid to earth! #18 & #19 RUINED DOOMSDAY WARRIOR!! If you like apocalyptic stories, read or listen to #1-17 but ignore the last two. Just consider that Rock won and leave it at that!
  33. Bleak Expectations by Mark Evans for BBC
  34. Not an audio book, but more of an audio play. This satire is funny and deserves to be listened to by anyone who enjoys educated writing. Also, they used Anthony Head as the "villain", so it was excellent for that alone!
  35. Secret Life Of Rosewood Avenue - Stephen Sheridan
  36. Not an audio book, but more of an audio play. Funny, funny, funny stuff. Another BBC play that was great! A must for fans of Fawlty Towers, Vicar of Dibley and other smart British comedies.
  37. DC Universe Last Sons - Alan Grant GraphicAudio
  38. Another superb audio book from GraphicAudio, Last Sons focused on Lobo, Martian Manhunter and Superman and did a good job, EXCEPT for the last hour which was rather unnecessary!
  39. Patient Zero: A Joe Ledger Novel - Jonathan Maberry
  40. Best Audio Book (that isn't GraphicAudio) I have heard all year. The story was so compelling, I would listen an extra 10 minutes a night in my driveway instead of going inside! Can not wait for the next book cause Maberry is fantastic!
  41. The Good, The Bad and The Undead - Kim Harrison
  42. Sorry but bad - little redeeming quality.
  43. Torchwood: The Dead Line - Phil Ford
  44. Another great audio of Torchwood adventures with Jack, Gwen and Ianto!
  45. Murder At The Vicarage - Agatha Christie
  46. Very good Miss Marple mystery - this is the 6 episode version from the mid 2000's. Good stuff.
  47. Under The Dome - Stephen King
  48. Another great Stephen King novel turned into a great audio book. This was almost as compelling as The Stand, but not quite. Give it a read/listen and enjoy!
