Zhang Yimou Is My Hero

I think I've posted something along these lines before, but Zhang Yimou is good enough to warrant risking duplication. Mirimax has picked up Hero for distribution, and it opens this December. I'm looking forward to this one as much as The Two Towers. From Coming Attractions: "Jet Li plays the bodyguard for the King of Qin, while Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung and Zhang Ziyi play the three assassins sent to eliminate the monarch."
As if the director and cast weren't enough to make me giddy with anticipation, rumor has it that Animal Logic (The Matrix, Moulin Rouge!) is being tapped for visual effects.
