Funny that the article doesn't mention packaging which is most collectors' major beef with the studio. I've never seen WB transfer problems bad enough to annoy me, but I do hate their reliance on cardboard digipaks and 'snapper' cases that easily get scuffed up. There has been a notable shift toward keepcases in the past year, though, (compare the packaging of Harry Potters 1 & 2 to 3) which will hopefully continue.
Warner stopped using snap case packaging a few months ago. (Hurray!)
I love what they've been putting out for the last year: Gangster Collection, Noir Collection, Gone With The Wind... The list goes on and on. I still love Criterion to death, but I'm in love with Warner right now and I wanna have all it's babies.

I think I'd take picture quality over packaging quality any day.
