Did you know there are two War of the Worlds movies coming out in the next few months? Me neither. The reporter expresses some skepticism about the one you've never heard of, but there's a trailer for it and everything! « via GreenCine »

Have you checked out the trailer, or has the thin dialup pipe prohibited that?
Once a week (today, Monday) I drive out to the local community college and use their broadband internet to view dialup-prohibitive sites and download web files (I can't install programs, so I'm limited to 1 billionth of what I used to use broadband for) to my flash drive. So today I grabbed the new trailer and just watched it. The special effects, acting, cinematography, and score have me worried for the non-Speilberg one, but this was we get one version of Welles' classic tale in the original setting and one in modern-day USA. (I think. Right?)
That was July 2004. You probably hadn't subscribed yet. My intention wasn't to say 'you missed it', but to brag about finding it myself long before GreenCine. :-)
