Underrated

The A.V. Club has a short, sweet article about their underrated films of the last 10 years as a well as some other underrated stuff.

Some very interesting choices there. I of course agree with Office Space, and can't comment on Brown Bunny as I haven't seen it. But my friends have long been trying to convince me of the genius that is Starship Troopers, which caused me to re-evaluate my original opinion. I'd be interested to see some of the films on there that I've never heard of.

Still don't know if I'll bother with Brown Bunny, though.

I understand some of the admirably daring ideas behind Starship Troopers, but there's just way too much stupidity, poor storytelling, and technological inconsistency (as in all sci-fi, alas) for me to take it seriously.

I'm with you on starship troopers, i simply don't get it, but then again i'm not a sci-fi nut either. But even then whenever you have to go out and find the 'queen bee' and destroy it to save humanity, it's basically destined to be ridiculous.

Josy and the Pussycats sucked, office space is hardly underrated(although great it has quite the following, at least around here), dead man i'm sure is at least pretty damn good, and any unseen film by soderbergh is bound to be a gem.

as for the other list i've always loved king of hill, but I feel really really guilty for being really happy that carson daly made the list, the few times I have found his show flipping through in the middle of the night, he's been surprisingly entertaining.
