Trailerology: A Scanner Darkly

I can't tell from the new, full-length trailer for A Scanner Darkly if it's going to be my cup of tea, but it sure has an interesting look.

keanu is OK by me too.
can't say I'm a Woody Harrelson fan.

To be honest, the dystopic plot looks sillier to me than the acting or the animation.

it's hard to argue against going to shitty animation when the best actors you've got are woody harrelson and robert downey jr... reeves and rider almost demand that we as little of their acting as possible.

:-) I actually really like the look of painted live-action, or whatever you'd call this technique. I'm also one of the five people on the planet that likes Keanu Reeves' acting (except when he does Shakespeare).

I think Keanu's "wooden" acting style is actually more natural to me than the histrionics some actors use.

I agree he's totally wrong for Shakespeare.

OT: When people would accuse David Duchovny of being "wooden," his retort was that he was "subtle." He he.

Cool, now we just have to figure out who the other three in our select group are!

Well I'd say I'm one of the few(but not as few as you are a part of) people who don't think he's a bad actor... He's just a good indicator of shitty movies... and easy to make fun of... rider just plain stinks though, and despite my horrible attempt at a joke harrelson and downy jr are more than okay in my book... maybe it isn't so bad, if i reason enough with myself it seems more and more like a movie I could enjoy... still not sold on the animation though.
