Researchers at Oxford University have compiled and released a list of the top 10 irritating phrases using the Oxford English Corpus.

1. At the end of the day
2. Fairly unique
3. I personally
4. At this moment in time
5. With all due respect
6. Absolutely
7. It's a nightmare
8. Shouldn't of
9. 24/7
10. It's not rocket science

I find I hear many of these phrases when talking to people who do sales for a living.

...speaking of non sequiturs: Where is "literally" on this list? I literally had to pick myself up of the floor when I read this list... but my favourite reaction to the crash of the Mars Climate Orbiter was this headline: "It WAS rocket science."
