jokow11 recently sent me a VCD of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Since I can't watch it again (scroll down), and since it was graciously provided to me for free, I'd like to pass it along. Anybody interested? Only stipulation is that I'd like you to post your thoughts after you see it. Optionally, you could pass it along to somebody else when you're done with it as well. If we can find that many filmgoers with an appetite for such grim fare, that is.

Okay, I'm back from my road trip and will watch Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance shortly. I will also post a review of it when I have watched it. I'd like to pass it along to someone else interested in seeing it since both Jim and I, at least, got it that way. Is anyone interested?
Just a word of warning as they instigator of this movie viewing:
If you check yes to any of the following, trust me, you don't want to see this movie:
[] I'm a happy person
[] I believe there's good in everyone
[] I care about my fellow man
[] I believe lives of people in other countries aren't so bad
On the depression scale, this movie ranks slightly below Joe Piscipo moving in next door and Sylvia Plath using your kitchen.
Nope, no 'yes' checks. I should be good :-)
I'm absolutely interested. I'd post a review once I'm done watching it and pass it on to the next person who is interested.
But, I'm gone from the 7th-16th of August on a road trip. I could obviously watch it right when I get back, though.
Anyway, I'm quite interested!
Assuming it's dubbed or (preferably) subtitled, that is :-)
Alrighty, first come, first served! E-mail me your snail mail address and I'll send it off to you. It is subtitled. There are a few (key) bits of onscreen text (a computer screen and a couple paper notes) that aren't translated, but you can usually guess the gist of what they say from the context.
(spoiler alert: translations are here)
