I'm in the process of deploying various optimizations. During this time, some (or all) lists might not display, as I haven't populated the new cache yet. Hang in there...
UPDATE: Three hours later, and I think I'm done. Pages are now pre-rendered upon saving, and then simply output as-is when viewing. This should make saving a bit slower, and viewing a bit faster. And the whole thing is probably buggier, as this was a big backstage change. Let me know if you notice anything odd. Thanks!

Hey, Jim,
One thing new I've noticed is the inclusion of GoogleAds after the content but before the edit buttons. Is that intentional? If so, it's fine with me. I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks,
Dan
That's not where it was before? I don't think I moved it, but honestly I can't remember.
Well, I've never seen GoogleAds before anywhere on Listology. As long as I'm logged in I've always not seen any of the advertising.
Ah! Damn! I had given donors a lifetime exemption from ads, but now that's impossible with the caching.
If you want to install AdBlock, do so with my blessing. :-) Sorry 'bout this.
Hi Jim
I seem to be able to edit this article. I assume this is a bug. I checked a couple of other lists and on old lists I don't see the edit button but the recently edited ones appear to have it.

Edit: after posting the message the edit button went away.
Damn. Since the page is now cached the "only show the edit button if the user owns the content" feature is hosed. Nobody's content was ever at risk, as the save still doesn't work unless you own the content, but that feature is now changed. From now on, the "edit" button will appear on all lists, but if you click it for a list you don't own you'll get a message telling you you can't do it. The appearance of the edit button may be a bit sporadic as this change percolates through the cache.
Thanks for the heads-up!
I think you forgot an r in your title.

Ha! I needed a good laugh, as I sit here, caching all of Listology, 500 lists at a time... Thanks!
I'm not sure exactly what that involves, but it does not sound like too much fun. Once more, I greatly appreciate you running this site. Us users love our dealers. :)

It's even less fun when you have to do it twice because you screwed it up the first time!
Thanks for the nice sentiment. I needed that!
(fingers crossed that these changes make my webhost happy)
