Needless to say, I'm overcome with sadness and distress at the news you broke here... I just read the articles you linked and still can't believe she's gone, and in such a sudden, brutal and senseless way... Granted, i only ever saw Adrienne in Hal's movies but it always was so obvious she was such a unique and important talent... I do find comfort, even if it's much too late now, in the fact that she did manage to build herself a nice career as a complete artist after distancing herself from Hartley... My condolences can only go to her close ones who now have to live on without her shining presence...
Yes, it is very sad. Especially for her daughter and husband. When I read that in the online news last week the first thing I thought was "lbangs will not like this at all."
I've read that her husband and mother are convinced it is a murder, citing the lack of a note, footprints not hers in the room, and money missing from her wallet/purse. I've no idea of the truth of any of this.

Though I am unfamiliar with her work, it is very sad.
She recently wrote and directed the film Waitress which stars Nathan Fillion, and that was going to be my introduction to her. :-(
I hope the film gets a distribution deal. She was reportedly very excited about it.

I'm sorry, too. I only just saw The Unbelievable Truth for the first time last Thursday.
She was a unique actress, and her death was quite the shock to me this morning.
Did you like the film? I am the only Hartley fan in the universe who is not a huge fan of that one, although it ends much better than it begins...
