If you like Paul Newman, I recommend you the newest issue of the 'Empire Magazine' (October). There you can find a special of over 10 pages about Paul Newman.
Jim, any chance we could get lists in 'other' genres listed on the 'Most Discussed' page? I just happened to notice that the Greencine Daily Header game has more than 60 posts, which is more than several of the entries on the 'most discussed' page, and yet it isn't listed there. I just assume that's because it's under a custom genre.
Prob'ly not. Subtle cues like that are a holdout from trying to keep the site flexibile yet still entertainment-focussed. On the bright side, when I get to the improved site stats page, I'll have separate breakouts for that page for the genres and custom genres.
On the other hand, the GreenCine game is certainly movie-related enough to be in a "Movies" section rather than an "Other" section. Maybe you could just move it into the other category?
Paul Newman's a great actor, but I haven't seen him brilliantly play a wide range of different types of characters like I have Marlon Brando or Tom Hanks, for example.
Tom Hanks? I like the guy n' all, but I don't really think he demonstrates fabulous range. And yet another ugly confession: I'm not much of a Brando man, although I know he broke lots of ground.
Ploughs break a lot of ground, too. I wouldn't want to see any of them act.
Brando strikes me as the Orson Welles of acting. Ferocious early promise and accomplishment and then nothing but disappointment and the life of a recluse. (Godfather me no Godfathers and Kurtz me no Kurtzs.) Because of this his reputation looms larger than his achievement. And reputation is everything. This career strategy parallels those of Johnny Ace, James Dean, Janis Joplin and Princess Di just without actual death.

Thanks!

Eh, that would mess with my organization. :-) And, it's not a big deal...
Ah, I see. Okay.

And here I thought I was the only one!
