Since I saw a preview for it, I've been looking forward to The Mexican. Unfortunately it's been pretty roundly panned. The primary bone of contention seems to be that Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts don't share much screen time. I couldn't care less about that, so I was pretty pleased to see this positive review from Roger Ebert. Anything to keep my enthusiasm going until it's available to rent.

it's weird. there were a lot of positive reviews, so much that RottenTomatoes had a fresh rating) at first but then as more reviews hit it finally dropped into rotten, and i saw a headline on MSN which read "The Mexican: The New Pulp Fiction?" and I was like, woah is this movie that good?
ultimately there's way too many other movies I need to see before The Mexican charts for me. i'm guessing the film is decent fun. people expect too much sometimes.
BTW, I saw Requiem for a Dream today. incredible movie.
have you ever considered giving people the option to upload a picture to their profile? I think it would be cool if we could see what each other looked like. just curious.
Yeah, my expectations aren't so high as to pay full-price, but I'm looking forward to it on video.
Funny, you are the second person in two days to suggest allowing photo uploads. While I probably won't add this as a formal feature, I will be writing up a brief HTML tutorial that will show you how to embed photos in your profile. The photos themselves will reside on other servers though. More to follow on that soon . . .
Jim, I tried that as you suggested but I can't figure out how to get the text to wrap around the photo. I might be missing something in the html, but I thought I did it right.
I've given this more thought . . . If you don't mind, remove the picture for now. I'm going to make a feature change in the next day or so that will make this easier, and that way the photo will go in a standard spot that won't make people have to scroll down further to get to your lists (I'm thinking I'll put it above the "endorse" section).
cool beans!
i'd be interested in that procedure. i have some photos on my geocities web site which i can point to. you know you've got a real community going when people start to ask about photo uploads! :-)
