Matrix Fans
From imdb.com:
Matrix fans are reportedly up in arms over a Time magazine cover story that revealed many plot details of the upcoming The Matrix Reloaded, USA Today reported today (Thursday). Although the article contained numerous "spoiler" warnings, one fan appeared to speak for many when he posted this message on the ComingSoon.com website: "I don't care if the story warned of spoilers or not. You shouldn't give secrets away to a film this important. You can't hang a sign in the street that says 'Don't look up' and expect people not to look up."
Does anybody else find this goofy? For years, people complain (rightly) about absent spoiler warnings. Now, a magazine puts plenty of warnings in the article, and they still complain. Grow a spine! You had your chance to close the zine, and you didn't. Your fault, your loss.
So, what do you folks think?

The Time article, which is right here, was showing up in the Daypop Top 40 for a few days. I started reading the article and when I reached this point in the article (which is about 13 paragraphs in)...
"So what happens in Reloaded? You've been very patient, waiting for four years and wading through 240 lines of this story. You deserve a full description of the new movie. WARNING: The secrets are finally out. Gentler Readers who wish to view the film in blissful ignorance may turn this page now. We'll call you when it's over."
...I closed my browser window and read no further. It was as simple as that. I will be seeing the movie opening weekend, which is only 8 days from now, and I can control myself for that long. I know that knowing nothing about The Matrix when I first saw it made for a very enjoyable movie going experience.
Now the question is, can you resist reading the article above? Or at least the spoilerish stuff? I'm betting you can.
If you are forewarned of spoilers and you read on anyway, you get what you deserve.
It's like people who sue McDonald's for making them fat or people who sue cigarette companies for giving them cancer. They've heard the warnings, but they still can't resist the temptation, and they regret having done it afterwards.
Yep. They want to blast some blame in some direction, and I guess their mirrors are broken.
Shalom, y'all!
