location, location, location
What do the following movies have in common?
Blackrock [1997, nobody you've ever heard of]
Bootmen [2000, ditto]
No More Mr Nice Guy [1997, Jackie Chan]
Sahara [1995, James Belushi]
Superman Returns [2006, Kevin Spacey]
Young Einstein [1988, Yahoo Serious]
They all had scenes shot in or near my home town, Newcastle, New South Wales.
Well, all except Superman Returns. That scene is being shot next week. The specific locations are The Newcastle City Hall and University House (was Nesca House). The latter was chosen for its 30s Art Deco architecture. Here are some nice photos of both buildings.
It's going to be disruptive. A couple of very busy inner-city streets are going to be closed from 6 pm to 6 am for a week. That'll still give them daylight because we are in Summer Daylight Saving now.
Won't bother me though :-D
Jim, you knew I'd yield to temptation eventually.
NOW FEATURING DAILY REPORTS ON THE FILMING (see this page).

I confess I'm quite fond of Bootmen. I mean, I love Australian movies in general, but guys dancing in jeans and boots really gets my engine running. Surely Adam Garcia is a name some have heard of... Coyote Ugly, Driving in Cars with Boys.. heck, he was the voice of Kangaroo Jack! ;-)
I suppose when you get right down to it "nobody you've ever heard of" means "nobody I've ever heard of".
Get out your spy camera, bertie, and hook Harry up. :-)
Nah. Thanks for the link, but I'm no gossip. Well, except with Listologists :-D
Just playin'. I don't like AICN anyway.
