Holy cow, it's the Minority Report monitor! Definitely watch the demo movie. I loved the bit where the user moves and resizes a pile of photos.
I sent this link to a techie friend of mine, and he directed me here. I feel like how people must have felt watching the first ever "moving picture".
Cool, thanks! I can't imagine many practical applications (would I really have to carry those class coasters around?), but it sure looks fun to play with.
I don't know how it would work in practical application. I have a tendency to see all things technically cool as way beyond my means. I'm hopelessly behind the times, and by the time any of this technology filters down to me it will all be old hat. You know I just bought something called an empee three player? It's a nifty little gadget that lets me hear music WHILE I'M WALKING AROUND! Woo! I'd better slow down lest my heart give out on me.
