Here's a wonderful bit of news for Terry Gilliam, Neil Gaiman, and Terry Pratchett fans . . . Looks like Gilliam will be directing the movie version of Good Omens, which appears on a couple (ahem) book lists.
I'm a bit skeptical of a Good Omens movie, but if anyone can do it well, Gilliam is probably it.
Agreed. It's only wonderful news in that Terry Gilliam is probably the best choice for the job. At least, I can't think of anyone that is better suited for the material. Whether or not even he can pull it off is another story. But I remain guardedly optimistic, as I will generally see anything he makes (the notable exception being Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas).
