Here's a fun commentary on Harrison Ford's Dreck Streak (many of which I haven't seen). Anybody else want to put him on cinematic probation?

Well, I don't think What Lies Beneath belongs on that list. And the author conveniently skips over Air Force One to make his point. But I don't want to defend Ford either. He has not exactly been on a hot streak.
Yeah, and for my part "Dreck Streak" is my own term, and overstates the case. "Parade of Mediocrity" would have been more fair, and I think could include Air Force One, even if I did kinda like that movie.
More to the point though, I do feel like the time when I'd get excited for a Harrison Ford movie has passed, and some time ago at that.
Was Harrison Ford ever a really good actor anyway, or just a popular movie star. He never seems to disappear into character, like the truly great ones can. He always just strikes me as, "Oh, there's Harrison Ford, playing a doctor" or whatever the role is. Granted, he has appeared in some really good movies in the past and none lately. Maybe we'll see him in "Ally McBeal, The Movie"
A good point, although I've thought in the past that Harrison Ford was quite good within a specific niche, but not particularly versatile.
