What a fantastic job they do over there.
BTW, are there many Listologists who prefer dubbing to subtitles for foreign-language films? I can't wait for Howl's Moving Castle but there's no way in hell I'm going to watch it dubbed. I'm waiting for the subtitled DVD.
I prefer subtitles. I find dubbing highly distracting. Even when the Italians do it in Italian, I notice.
If they're done well, dubs for anime (the Disney dubs for Miyazaki movies are quite good, IMO). If they're done poorly, dubs for ultra-cheesy kung fu flicks. For everything else, subtitles.
But... but... today is already St. Patrick's Day!
Too late, I have already ruled from on high.
