Hand Animation's Demise Exaggerated

Disney to return to hand animation with The Frog Princess. Happy to hear it, as I was sad when they shuttered that division (Home on the Range sucking had nothing to do with the medium).
Steve Hulett says that Disney Feature Animation will be laying off artists. This might very well be part of the normal ebb and flow of animation production but it seems that the tide is going out. (Even hand-drawn is going digital.)
