Free Albums Blog
Our very own lukeprog has a fantastic new blog up, Free Albums Galore. From his first post:
Welcome to Free Albums Galore, a full-album “mp3 blog” for listeners of eclectic music. What distingiushes Free Albums Galore from other mp3 blogs?
1. I post only complete albums, not individual or scattered tracks.
2. I post only albums with permanent off-site hosting, unlike other album blogs like Hepcatwilly.
3. I post only legally free albums, instead of blindly hoping copyright owners won’t mind me distributing their music.
I won’t link to files that require site registration before downloading, or to files with restrictive DRM. From the classical music world, I consider any work at least 20 minutes in length to be a “complete album”, but there will be exceptions.
He has some very interesting stuff up already, and I certainly hopes he can find enough albums that meet his criteria to keep this project going.

I like to think my blog's concept is pretty cool and unique, but I'm not getting many readers. How can I improve it?
It's probably not a problem with your blog, just that it's hard to make a splash on the Internet. Very crowded space. Listology's been up for six years, and over that time it's just been gradual growth and plugging away at it. Rather than improving the blog itself, try driving more traffic to your site. While ProBlogger is geared toward folks that want to make money blogging, he has lots of great tips. Check out the stuff in the "Tips and Hints" Toolbox, particularly "Blog Promotion Tips" and "SEO Tips".
I've been meaning to congratulate you on breaking the 20,000 item barrier for this site. I remember the days when you had 11,429 items and 33,385 posts. We'll never be that young again.
:-) Thanks! And I can't remember the last time I played that fantastic album, which I now have in my CD player...
Wilco has an entire EP hosted at their official site here. Time-wise, I believe it fits your criteria, but take a look and see if it's the sort of thing you're looking for.
(Btw, the text on the page may make it sound like it's a hidden site, but the discography page at Wilcoweb links right to it.)
Thanks, I'll check it out.
Hey! I'd already been watching that blog via RSS on Bloglines and didn't know who was running it. :-)
Lol, I saw you were tracking it but figured you'd found it through me on Listology! How on earth did you first come across it otherwise?
Thanks, Jim! I got Largeheartedboy to mention me, but just before I decided to move to a new host! D'oh! And I hadn't explained very well what makes my blog unique at its old location.
People, feel free to send me free album download links (with permanent hosting) - I'll check 'em out and see if they are any good.
Don't worry about me running out of albums to post any time soon, though! I've got nearly 100 lined up to post about already.
