Enjoying the News?

So I've been working on posting at least one new thing to the home page each weekday for awhile now. The posts don't seem to elicit much commentary, so I just thought I'd check: anybody reading? How am I doing? I've been using the "post what's interesting to me and at least some small minority will probably find it interesting too" philosophy, so I'm entirely prepared to be told I'm just on another planet from the rest of you. :-)

New posts help me keep up with the latest movie news (didja realize that "Fahrenheit 9/11" will be released on DVD on October 5?) and get ideas for looking up movies to rent, even if I don't add to any of the discussions. It's great to just check the home page and surf on to stay updated.

Thanks everybody! I'll keep at it. Ironic that nothing really caught my eye today, eh? I guess I did technically add that note about the Recent Activity tweak today.

I tend to check the news about every third day or so, and read up on what I missed. I value the news page, so please continue, if you can. Sometimes I even learn something here first, like about Julia Child today.

I'm with the group opinion here, keep posting. I had a great laugh on the worst frontmen, and I probably wouldn't find that otherwise.

I have read all of them in the last ten days, and followed the links on six of them. I've posted one of them on my blog. I find your posts fresh and relevant, and I want to come back for more. Thanks!

You get a thumbs up from me, Jim!

I read, I just don't always post :)

I almost always check out the updates on the front page, but I usually reserve any comments because they'd just be along the lines of "yeah" or "me too."

But FWIW, my local theater chain is promising to show Hero when it opens and I WILL BE THERE.

This has been mentioned before, but most people are probably using the "recent updates" page as their Listology homepage (opening page). I do. It's not that I'm (or they) are disinterested in what you're posting over there, but the real action seems to be over here lately. Too much if you ask me.

I've been clocking things running down the "recent update" page with a 30-40 minute turnover rate lately. It's getting real hard not to miss something. A longer page would help, but I guess things will start slowing down after school starts.

I'll make it a point to check out the "real" homepage more often.

Actually, summer's usually slower! Maybe this summer is the exception. Anyway, does this help?
