Filmbrain says:
The other day, Filmbrain and a friend were discussing film endings that are punctuated with a piece of music, and the powerful effect that it has when done well. Not just simply great endings (of which there are many) but ones that use music to knock the wind out of us, so to speak, with its unexpected entrance. The timing has to be just right, as does the selection of music -- but the end result can send shivers down the spine and raise goose bumps. Filmbrain initially thought of Lost in Translation, but then realized that the Jesus and Mary Chain's Just Like Honey was playing for several minutes before the end. There's no special punctuation when the credits roll, and therefore doesn't count.
The following is a list of films that Filmbrain (and friend) came up with.
If that piques your curiosity, g'wan and click through for the list.

Beetlejuice and The Matrix.
How about the end of Fight Club with the Pixies? Great ending made perfect with the song.
Oo yeah, I like that one. You should post it over there; he solicited suggestions.
Most interesting is the commenter who claims that it's Gary Oldman, not Sid Vicious singing "My Way" at the end of GoodFellas. I'd like to know where he received that info, 'cuz it's new to me (and Google, apparently).
Yeah, it's hard to imagine that's true if Google makes no note of it.
There's a retraction over there now.
Strangely enough, my order of Jesus and Mary Chain's Psychocandy just came in today, and I just listened to the song "Just Like Honey" a few hours ago. This kinda thing tends to happen to me often - multiple references to something within 24 hours of each other. Anyway, thanks for reminding me to update!
