Despite the warning in the comments of this list, I rented The Mummy. The verdict: stupid but occasionally fun. Why is this noteworthy enough to post? There was one thing that was stupid enough to be hysterical, and I had to share it with you. Click "discuss" below if you're curious.

The basic premise is that the mummy is this rotten corpse that needs to absorb the body parts, fluids, and essenses of these unfortunate saps to reconstitute himself. The first victim falls down while running away, and breaks his glasses. Of course, in a surprise twist, this victim has terrible eyesight, so he stumbles around in an increasing panic until the mummy gets him.
So the mummy takes this guys tongue and his eyes. This horribly nearsighted guy, and the mummy takes his eyes.
Does the mummy stumble around blindly for the rest of the movie? Unfortunately, no. A big missed comic opportunity . . . when the mummy comes to finish the guy off, he could have first asked him where he keeps his spare pair of glasses (why for this guy the mummy had to take the tongue and eyes first and then come back for the rest later is one of the movies many mysteries. After all, he drains the rest of his victims in one visit instead of the payment-plan treatment the first victim gets).
