I know at least one Listologist was dismayed to learn that Will Ferrell was slated to play Ignatius Reilly in the adapation of Confederacy of Dunces, but it looks like that ain't gonna happen (with Ferrell, or anybody else for that matter) . So, for that dismayed Listologist, I post this happy news. Now he just needs to come back to Listology to see this.
As a New Orleanian, I'm happy to see that--at least for the time being--Will Ferrell will not be starring and young David Gordon Green will not be directing the film adaptation of "A Confederacy of Dunces." I haven't read the book since junior high school twenty years ago, but Ferrell was not in any way the right choice for the role.
