City of God on DVD

Good News! Even though there's a discrepancy on the date (Netflix says February 17th, 2004 and Amazon.com says December 2nd, 2003) it looks like City of God, my best movie of 2002, is finally being released on DVD. It's more than sort of violent but I think the violence is an integral and necessary part of the story. I'm looking forward to having someone to discuss it with. :-)
City of God receives 4 Oscar nominations!!! Woo-frickin'-hoo!
After noting how much you liked this one, it has been in my queue for ages (in the saved section, with a little, annoying 'date unknown' tag by it nearly forever). I can't wait to see it!

Hey, if you drop a note here when this is available at Netflix, I'll move it to the top of my queue. Not that you're my personal reminder service by any means, but I'm likely to forget and you said you're eager to discuss it, so I thought I'd throw that out there.
I loved this movie so much. It came to my small theater in Tampa and I missed out on the opportunity to go. But then they showed it on campus last week and I went. I thought it was incredibly photographed and very well acted and the rest.
