In regards to 50 First Dates, the Cinetrix asks:
How funny was it that Drew and her family watch The Sixth Sense every single night as part of their effort to preserve the illusion that it's the same day over and over? Can you think of any other movies that spoil another movie's surprise ending? Is there another movie you'd want to watch every night for the foreseeable future even less than The Sixth Sense ?
I know there's at least one other movie that spoils another movie's ending, but it's not coming to me.

Reign of Fire spoils the ending of "The Empire Strikes Back."
Wow, really? I don't remember that. I believe you, of course, just can't believe I can't recall.
Just watched Godard's My Life to Live, which spoils the ending (death at the stake) of Dreyer's The Passion of Joan of Arc, though that'd only be a spoiler to those who've never heard of Joan of Arc :-)
Don't the guys in Clerks discuss the ending of The Empire Strikes Back in some detail?
Yes, I think you're right (or was it Return of the Jedi?). Not the example I'm trying to recall, but still a good one.
I seem to remember a movie where someone announces the end of Citizen Kane, but I don't remember who said it.
That happened in an episode of Family Guy...
Yeah, that sounds like it might be the one I'm trying to recall.
UH!!!!! I know the one you're talking about! It's on the tip of my tongue.
This is going to drive me nuts until I get it. I'm going to wake up a 3 AM and shout out the name of whatever the movie is. Someone post the answer, quick!
We may not be thinking of the same one, but I, too, know there's another movie I've seen that spoils another's ending, I just can't think of it. I was just talking to a friend of mine, too, who saw 50 First Dates and hadn't seen The Sixth Sense and was royally pissed off that the former ruined the latter for him.
I suppose you could count Scorcese's 'My Voyage to Italy', which ruins the ending of L'Eclisse and, to a lesser degree, a few other Italian films. But I know there's another fiction film that ruins another fiction film's ending...
