I apologize if this a well-known web site but I just had to share this with the group. I was laughing...hard. :-)

Ultra-Condensed Science Fiction/Fantasy Books

I think the funniest condensations for me are the titles I've read yet it's been just long enough that I sort of remember what they were about but can't really remember most of the plot points. I'm still trying to figure out why they make me laugh out loud! :-) That's rare for me.

Thanks dgeiser1 - I haven't belly-laughed like that in a while. I particularly liked the ultra-condensed version of Othello. I looked at the rest of the site, and the advice on successful persuasion while arguing was pretty funny, too.

My favorite ultra-condensations: Dune, The Mallorean, The Hobbit, Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, and Xenocide / Children of the Mind. Of course, some of these contain serious spoilers.

Wickedly funny site--glad to see someone else agrees with my assessment of the venerated "Speaker for the Dead." And the ultracondensation of the Asimov "Foundation" series is not only accurate, it's a hoot (although I still think the series is well worth reading. What do fellow listologs think about some of these ultracondensations??
