Yancey Strickler describes the hows and whys of cutting the cord and selling his 1500 CD collection:
I shook the completist/collector bug two years ago, when I challenged myself to listen to every CD I owned in alphabetical order, not skipping a disc or track. When I realized, two weeks in, that I had ten Archers of Loaf records to listen to, I knew I was in trouble. When I realized, two months in, that I owned every single Beastie Boys album despite having always hated them, I knew this had to stop.
