Best Trailers of 2002

If you have a fat internet connection you might be interested in checking out the list (with links to the trailers, of course) of what these guys consider to be The Best Movie Trailers of 2002. The Kill Bill trailer alone is worth the price of admission.

Oh man, I wish I had a fat internet connection! Actually what I really want is some kind of relatively cheap "Trailers on DVD" subscription where every 3 months or so I get a DVD in the mail with a 100 good trailers or so.

There was a magazine called Total DVD (?) which used to include a DVD each month which had a dozen or so trailers and a few short films on it. I think I have 2 of their DVDs. It's how I got a copy of Kevin Rubio's Troops (1998), a brilliant Star Wars parody (ala "Cops" (1989)), on DVD. I think the magazine still exists but only overseas.

I noticed some magazine at Barnes & Noble came with a free DVD that not only had trailers but a full feature film as well. That particular month, the free movie was Species. I can't remember the title of that magazine right now, but it was in the neighborhood of Total DVD, Max DVD, or something like that.

For what that is worth...

Shalom, y'all!

I was just think that I could probably download a bunch of trailers and convert them to DIVX format and then burn them to CD-ROM. That probably wouldn't be too hard. :-)

Sounds great! If you start a trailer subscription service sign me up as your first customer!

Heck, if I weren't languishing in 56K hell I'd do it myself. :-)

This is a great idea. Several years ago I was receiving a VHS tape from Entertainment Weekly with about a dozen or so trailers on each. I kept my subscription going an extra year just to get the tapes.

I would definitely pay for a DVD of trailers.

Cool! I just fired off an e-mail to EW asking them to revive and moderinze the service. I don't expect a response, but I'll let you know if I get one.
