AFI's Latest List - 100 Thrills

The folks at AFI have posted another list: America's 100 most heart-pounding movies. The fun thing about lists like this is that there's no way to please everybody.
Jim, I still wish I new exactly what genre they were trying to complete here. Was this supposed to be the Thriller genre?
Yeah, it's pretty vague. They make it sound like "thrillers", but they must be using a pretty broad definition.
I always thought of "thrillers" as being something like Silence of the Lambs, or Hitchcock movies. But Star Wars? I think they're grasping at straws.
I agree. As a "thrillers" list, it fails. On the other hand, if they just reworded it ever-so-slightly to "thrilling movies" that would work better, I think.
