Aardman Fire

Tags:

Fresh on the heels of another claymation triumph, Aardman loses all the props and sets from everything they've ever made in a fire. Nick Park puts it in perspective:

"Even though it's precious stuff and nostalgic - and it's dreadful news for the company, in the light of other tragedies it's not a big deal."

... but you know this has to hurt.

Hey, wait a minute. If you submit clay to high temperatures - don't you get clay pottery? Instant statuettes? Limited editions in this case, I guess. ~;^)

Very sad!

From what I have read, though, the sets and props from the current film were on display elsewhere, and Nick had his Wallace & Gromit with him (don't we all?), so the loss was not as bad as it might have been. Still, very sad.

The film, by the way, kicks!

Shalom, y'all!

Oh, that's good news (especially for Wallace & Gromit themselves!). From what (little) I'd heard *everything* was lost.

I saw your review, and I can't wait! I'm going to try to get the whole family out to see it soon.

Smashing idea! Be sure to give us the lowdown if you achieve your noble goal!

Shalom, y'all!

This is so sad! Also, I can't help but wonder how it smelled over there, with the melting clay and all.
