51 Countries In Race For 2001 Oscar

Well, this passed under my radar a few weeks back but apparently 51 countries have submitted films to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for consideration as best foreign-language film. This bests last year's record (of 46) by 5. I also found a related article from The Denver Post noting a couple of worthy titles which weren't submitted by their respective countries. If you know of any other good Foreign Language films from 2001 I know I'd appreciate a heads-up. Pretty, please?!

There are three good French films that were not submitted to the AA's. Those are Under the Sand (I saw it, and it is wonderful), The Adventures of Felix (entertaining, but not brilliant), and The Closet (I haven't gotten a chance to see this, but its supposed to be very funny).
In the Mood for Love was submitted to last year's Oscars, and went un-nominated. It was released here in 2001, and it is well worth seeing.
I understand that Our Lady of the Assasins and No Man's Land are worth checking out, and I certainly am looking forward to seeing Amelie.
