The 250

"twofifty.org is an exciting new webapplication to help you manage the movies you've seen from the IMDb Top 250"

Sound familiar?

In regards to comments about strange movies making it into the top 250: "For this top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered." You figure only a small subset of people who go to IMDb actually register, and that's a pretty skewed group.

I see that the Joss Whedon fan club has stuffed the IMDb ballot box to get "Serenity" up to number 126.

Too complicated forme, as I haven't my own PC. But anyway, I know how many I've seen, so.. that should be enough.
And yeah, I think there have crept up some strange movies into the top 250 lately...

OK, why not.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to do this with all of our various "Movies I've Seen on Such and Such List" lists?

I got .

Mildly interesting: I noticed that of the top 35, the only ones I have not seen are sequels (LOTR: ROTK, Godfather Part II, and LOTR: Two Towers).

Yikes, there are some wholly mediocre and downright bad movies that have gotten way up there. Anyhoo:

Yeah i know. Casablanca, Lawrence of Arabia and It's a Wonderful Life. What are these people on!

True, but most of them are at least entertaining, and I think that's what most IMDB voters are solely voting on.

And me:

The interface is pretty cool, but in a few instances some of my selections didn't "take." I had to go through it a few times before my choices finally stuck.

I had that issue once when I chose Revenge of the Sith from the New Adds section.

Okay, here's me.

Here is me...

Ooh, the button, good call!

As long as they'll keep updating the list I'm all for it.

Very familiar, but still pretty cool. I like the snazzy AJAX interface to checking stuff off. I wonder how it's going to handle stuff coming onto and dropping off of the list over time?
