FirstShowing.net: Why 2008 Will Be An Awesome Year For Movies. Entries from Baz Luhrmann, Michael Gondry, Fernando Meirelles, the Coen bros., Fincher (directing Pitt again), Aronofsky, Bryan Singer, Spike Jonze, and Nolan (with Maggie Gyllenhaal taking over for Katie Holmes, nice upgrade). Could be a fun year!
Hmmm there a lot of fun looking films but few that deal with serious issues it seems. I always look forward to the political and historical themed movies but don't see much in that way offered. Maybe we are overlooking some? "Where the Wild Things Are" should be fun, but Jonze lost Kaufmann as his writer.
