Cloned From:

Bogie finally gets his Oscar. "It was the leeches."

The African Queen

"Do so, Mister Allnut."

You got it. Now I have think up another one.

2. Rebecca

The professor is correct.

Jane Eyre...too easy. :?)

T'ho

:?)

Sorry stook, you were tricked by plot similarity.

Ouch! Guess it wasn't that easy after all.

:?)

A wild guess (because I've not seen it):
3. 101 Dalmations

Dear me, no! Not any number of dalmations. The word 'pack' is used metaphorically. Hint: the story takes place mostly in South America.

The other clue which lead me there was the bad girl ... Cruella.

Now I know how it feels to actually try to solve one of these damn things. It's tough!! I think I like the way you do it a little better, by the way - good work.

Sometimes, a few of these elements combine to form a movie I've seen, but then the rest of the elements don't work out. I'll keep my eyes peeled for these. Can you give us more plots to guess?

Compliments are always welcome, but I say "right back at ya!" For me, the great thing about this game is that it truly is impossible to cheat. There have been other games (e.g. some involving images) that were naively said to be cheat-proof, but the fact is they were not. The down-side is that it can be difficult to comeup with good clues. I'll do some more in the next week.

Oh, #3 is "Notorious", innit?

'Tis, 'tis. Congratulations. But I'll be really impressed if you can get #4.

Is #4 "American Graffiti"?

Sorry, no.

Wow, is #4 "Miracle Mile"?

You got it! Wish I had the next one ready.

Is #5 The Lost Weekend?

Bravo! That's correct. A great movie, I think. The best, probably, that Ray Milland was ever in.

6 is Henry V?

Whoah! Didn't last ten minutes. I guess that one was way too easy - to a person of discernment and culture ;-)

Hey, culture and discernment don't come into it. It's just the only gift of balls I know. :)

Balls! I should have known.
