To make the goal I would suggest pictures books like the ones by Yann Arthus-Bertrand or graphic novels like Persepolis (Marjane Satrapi) or read the entire Harry Potter series (huge and easy/fast to read)... :P
I remember some years ago, I lost my goal by 2-3 books... Now I don't do it anymore, since I don't know what could happen during the year.
So, what is your favorite book this year?
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm ok with not reaching my goal, since I've been watching a lot of movies for a research project I'm working on (hence all the books about film).
I think my favorite book was "Grimm Pictures." The concept of drawing parallels between Grimm's fairy tales and recent horror film was really inventive. I liked "Brisinger" too, but I hate waiting for the next installment!
I see you read "At the Mountains of Madness" recently--the first time I read that I had terrible nightmares! I just read it again last month and it was still creepy.
