Author Comments:

Keep in mind that some of these movies are ones I saw when they first came out and haven't seen since, so I'm trying to remember them as best as I could, after spending years trying to forget them.

C+ or higher = all movies I liked to some degree and would probably recommend
C = average
C- or lower = all movies I disliked to some degree and would probably not recommend

Cloned From:

I'm not sure where my 1992 list went. I definitely made it, and I could've sworn I saved it and everything went off without a hitch. However, there must've been a hitch. I guess I'll come back to it later.

Mmm, I love Groundhog's Day. I'm still trying to see Short Cuts, but I expect to like it...I like most Altman that I've seen.

Magnolia - the Anderson touch + the Altman touch = Short Cuts

Can't say that doesn't sound extremely interesting. I do love Altman. However, I think that I might really like Anderson. Having only seen Magnolia, it's hard to decide.

I liked "Magnolia" a lot, but the verdict is still out on what I think of Anderson. Like, I've only seen "Magnolia" of his films.

I kinda have a love-hate relationship with Robert Altman. I do love "Short Cuts" and "The Player", and I liked "Gosford Park" too. But he's probably best known for his early 70's films; "M*A*S*H" and "McCabe and Mrs. Miller" are often called Altman's classics. Like lbangs, I think "M*A*S*H" is overrated. I also think "McCabe and Mrs. Miller" is overrated; it establishes a great atmosphere, but unfortunately, nothing interesting happens in it. Additionally, I was unfortunate enough to subject myself to his wretched "Brewster McCloud." I should really see "Nashville" before I make a final judgement on Altman though.
